"MY EYES" see the "DOWN LOW" of what "FALL IS..."

Hidee Ho,  friends!  I hope your days are finding you healthy and happy!   I have been a busy little bumblebee these past few days and am happy tonight that I FINALLY get to sit down and pay attention to my blog.  Between work, friends and family, my life has taken on a new energy that is quite invigorating.  It keeps me hoppin', which is a good thing. :-)

If you have been following my blog (THANK YOU,)  you know that I have been participating in the September Photo a Day Challenge.  Amy at the idea room provides a different prompt for each day of the month and the challenge is to submit a photo using that days prompt as your motivation.  I've missed a BUNCH of days! :-/  However,  I love the fun of trying to come up with a photo each day and to possibly come up with some interpretation of the given prompt that no one else has thought of.
Here are my last three submissions:

Sept. 28;  "My Eyes"

Yep!  That's my eyeballs! :-D

Sept. 29;  "Down Low"

That there is Lula!  She belongs to a very dear friend.  She's about as "down low" as you can get without lying on your belly.  Believe me,  I tried.

Sept. 30;  "Fall is..."

That's a display at the garden shop next to my workplace.  If that doesn't SCREAM Fall, I don't know what does.  I WOULD have gone out to get some shots of the turning leaves, but I was out gettin' stuff DONE today!  I had a rare day off, and I had to take advantage of it to catch up on chores.

Well that does it for the month of September.  I am TOTALLY geared up to start the October Photo a Day Challenge tomorrow!  I'm really going to try to stick with it and submit everyday.  I'll keep y'all in the loop!!

Peace and Blessings! LATERZ!! :-3

The "STRAIGHT" of it is, she is "SOMETHING I LOVE!!"

I'm baaaaack!! :)

I've missed a few days. It's been a weird weekend, to say the least. Friday was pretty normal. Went to work, came home, hung out with my roommates.
Saturday was the weird one. Got up, went to work, tried to do a few things around the shop and proceeded to be SICK AS A DOG!! Called all my clients. Cancelled all my appointments for the day. Came home by 9am and slept ALL DAY!!!
Sunday, I'm back to being me. Got up. Put a roast in the crockpot. Went to IKEA, Costco, and Best Buy (trying to fix the old computer.) Came home. Ate the Roast in the Crockpot. Finished up my laundry and this is where I am now.  Catching up on my blog!

Did you miss me? :D

Anyhoo... Friday the 25th the motivation word  on The September Photo a Day Challenge was "straight." This is my submission:

Saturday, I was down for the count, so it just didn't happen!

Sunday the 27th was easy.  "Something I Love," or in this case "someone."  This is one of my VERY favorite photos of my lovely daughter and my most recent submission the this challenge from The Idea Room:

It ALWAYS makes me smile! <3

I guess that does it for me today!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend (better than mine, anyway.)  True blessings on you and yours!! Tahhh!!

She's DEFINITELY coming home!!

I am really amped up today.  I talked to my daughter yesterday and we finalized the plans to bring her home from California.

Let's backtrack a bit. My daughter, who is 19, graduated from High School this year and decided she wanted to move to California to go to school in the spring.  Well...we live in a small town and she has virtually lived here her whole life.  When she decided on this move she left me, her friends...everything that was familiar to her.  My lovely step sister was kind enough to take her in and show her the California ropes, but she has been down, and depressed. I think she may have bitten off a bit more than she could chew with this little adventure.  To make a long story, short, she's coming home after 3 months.  The pace and California mentality are just too much for her. Her best friend will be traveling with me next month to bring her home.  I'm relieved that I will have company to and from California. It's a 10-11 hour drive from my home in Northern Oregon.  After taking my girl down last July, I had to drive back alone and THAT was NO FUN!! So, I'm a bit excited to hold her in my arms and kiss her sweet face. :)

In other news; I have submitted the latest photo to The September Photo of the Day Challenge.  The motivation for todays photo is "on my plate." Although the GORGEOUS meal on my plate was actually taken a few days ago, it IS MY photo and the Mediterranean Pasta was home made and delicious.  Just so you know.

Well.  I think that's it for me right now.  I've gotten an early start today (for once,) so I may be blogging more later.  I have a DIY project I'm working on that just might make it's way into my journaling.  Have a blessed day! :)

Back on track...

Well the news is good!! I've decided to continue with The September Photo a Day Challenge.  Since I had missed so many days in this past week (or so,) I was going to give up on it. However, I've decided to go forth and finish up this month (and possibly do better next month.)  After giving it some thought, it just occurred to me that I REALLY enjoy it. It gives me motivation to look around me and open myself up to some creativity. I can use all the inspiration I can get!! ;)

Today's motivation was the word FULL:

Not much to look at, but it's my handy dandy travel flask that is perpetually FULL. Usually with water.

Speaking of inspiration, I was recently reading another blog that I follow; The Dainty Squid. Kaylah over there is wildly inspiring. She recently posted a blog about a book she found by Moorea Seal called  The 52 Lists Project.  It looked interesting, so I decided to check it out for myself. As luck would have it our local book store had it, so I bought it! Kayla was right!! IT IS AWESOME!!  It gets your brain focusing on YOU, your goals, the things that inspire you.  I've been pushed to remember things about myself that I had just about forgotten.  If you get a chance, just follow the link above and give it a looksie.  It's been an interesting journey for me, so far.

Well it's getting late. I guess it's time to call it a night.  Tomorrow is a busy one. Later!! :)

Such is the way....

Hi Again! It's been awhile since my last post. As I feared, my old computer just couldn't keep up anymore. The happy news is a dear friend of mine decided to send me an early Christmas present. I was having Blog withdrawals, so I'm VERY grateful. I AM sorry to say that my life has gotten in the way of the September Photo Challenge given by The Idea Room. I've missed so many days, I'm a bit embarrassed to continue. HOWEVER, I have not given up on sharing my photos in this blog. Look!! Here's one NOW! :)
Mom and Dad's garden, Sacramento, CA. July 2015. Boy!! Talk about dry!  Those of you who don't know, I live in Northern Oregon, and though we've had a hot summer and some drought problems of our own, it just doesn't compare to what's going on down there. This photo says it all. Even the daisies are dying! I love the contrast though. I think this is my favorite photo, to date.

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know all is well and I'll be posting more in the near future.  Maybe I'll TRY to complete what's left of the challenge! See ya on the flip side!! :3

If it "starts with a B," "in the distance," then it must be "new." Justask "a friend."

LOL!!! So that blog title must be a little confusing, huh?  Just to bring y'all up to speed, I'm following The September Photo a Day blog from The Idea Room. Amy has given a motivational title for each day of the month and the idea is to share a photo to match that title.  I've missed a few days at the beginning of the month, but have been trying to keep up.  It's fun and it opens my eyes to what's around me.

Anyway, that is the reason for the funky title.

Unfortunately, I've been having some computer issues. I'm afraid a crash in my near future, so I've been limiting my blog posts until I can muster up the moolah to get my trusty old laptop back in shape (or break down and get a new one.)

My submissions are as follows:

"Starts with a 'B'."  A pretty Blossom I found at The Gorge White House last week. Sept. 10.

"In the Distance." That's Mt. Hood back there. Sept. 11.

"New." I've recently been going to these painting events put on by Paint Nite.  It's a fun evening to spend with friends and get your creative juices flowing. Painting is "new" to me and this painting was "new" as of the time I posted it to the challenge. Sept. 12.

... and last, but not least...

"A Friend."  This is my Ziggypop! She's my BEST friend!! Sept. 13.

Well, that's all for today.  So much work for a lazy Sunday. Now I need to go take a nap!! Have a Wonderful Day y'all!! :)

Trying to be "a Sport"

So today's motivation for The September Photo a Day Challenge, which can be found on The Idea Room's blog, is "a sport."  I don't know about you, but I am SO NOT a sporty girl. As a result of this affliction, this truly WAS a challenging topic.

.....so I cheated a bit.  I didn't have time in my hectic day today to go and FIND a game, or sporting event, so I'm submitting a photo  I took a few years ago at a River Cats game in Sacramento.  That's where my parents live.  If my daughter and I visit during baseball season, we will, most likely, attend a game with my Mom and Dad.  It's ALWAYS good fun (even if I'm not much into sports.)

Anyway... Here's my submission:

The whole reason I took the photo in the first place is because I LOVE The Tower Bridge in the background, not the sporting event.  I know, I'm hopeless. *sigh*

Have a lovely evening folks!!

I'm trying to join the bloglovin' list and they told me to do this!!

The Gorge White House

I have had a beautifully busy day!  I worked at my shop this morning (briefly,) then headed downtown for a lovely lunch at Boda's Kitchen (If you are ever in the Hood River, OR. area, I STRONGLY recommend breakfast or lunch there.)  Then I headed up Hwy 35 to The Gorge White House to take some pictures of their lovely gardens and do a little wine tasting (again, I recommend a visit to this place if you're ever in the area.)

I took a TON of pictures so I won't post them all, but I WILL share the best of them. :)

It was a GLORIOUS day, and I had a GREAT time just tooling around the garden!!

Toodles!!  :)

A Pathway, and BRIGHT!

Hidee Ho all! I REALLY did mean to post yesterday, and it just didn't happen.  So I have a couple of pictures to share. For those out of the loop, The Idea Room has a September Photo a Day Challenge that I have been following.  It's fun, and it has renewed a creative outlet for me that has been missing for quite awhile.... Taking Photos.

Here are my submissions for the last couple of days:

Sept.7.  A Pathway...

I felt the need to submit two.... heehee!

Sept.8.  BRIGHT

Tomorrow I have to find a sport. So NOT up my alley, but I will find something to submit!! Have a GREAT evening all!! TTFN!

Circle!

Photo of the Day. September 6, 2015

This is now my second post as new blogger. It's a little intimidating learning all the in's and out's and trying to make sure everyone is given credit where credit is due.  I'm slowly but surely coming along.

Anyhoo, I have been trying to follow the September Photo A Day Challenge from The Idea Room this month (I've already missed 3 days *sigh*.)  I enjoy photography and this challenge gets me motivated to open my eyes and see what is around me.  I like that!! :)

Circle was today's motivation.  Here is my submission;

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday.  Mine has been blissfully uneventful!! Ciao!
